The Guardian Angels
There seems to be a new craze sweeping the internet poker nation these days. This particular craze seems to have come out of nowhere over the past few months and now you cannot go into ANY room at ANY site without seeing it. “What is it Bobo?”, you might ask. Well I’ll tell you my cute little finger puppet…..It’s the extreme use and overuse of the word “Donk”.
“DONKEY”
Definition: If a poker player is called a ‘donkey’, he’s a bad player who makes blatantly bad poker plays. A weak player.
Donkey is also shortened to “donk” by many players to announce that they’re playing badly or planning to, as in “I’m going to donk it up tonight.”
Also Known As: fish, pigeons
Examples: Last time I was at the card room, I got a table full of donkeys — no one knew how to play at all.

It’s time for me to get on my blog soapbox and rant for a second. Yes, it is true, I have fallen victim to these “donk-police”. The Donk Police are a group of young, middle-class, usually male, poker geeks with less than average poker skills who have watched one too many episodes of the World Series of Poker on ESPN. They believe that because they’ve watched the entire season on DVR they are now qualified to police the online poker world like self-appointed vigilantes (remember the guardian angels?). They probably all wear red or black barets and skin-tight black jeans tucked inside their combat boots.
The Donk Police feel it is their duty… nay… their obligation to educate the less fortunate, less educated, “savages” of the online poker world. “Play like I do and you shall never be hungry, but do anything outside of what has been written in Doyle Brunson’s Super System and you shall feel eternal hell fire and be mocked until my fingers are sore.”
The truth is: WE ARE ALL DONKS TO SOMEBODY!
4th sucks.
4th place, 3rd night in a row. I did however win half of my bankroll back tonight. So, I won’t go through with my plans to throw my pc out the window.

Well, the good news is that I seem to be pretty consistant at the $3, $5, and $10 multi-table tournies. I’ve pretty much been in the money around 50% of the time. I’m officially making profit now. The bad news is that I’ve taken 4th 2 nights in a row and I hate playing for 2-3 hours to make $100.
2nd place is better than nothing.
Another day another dollar at Titan Poker. I actually had the best hand and took a bad beat for 2nd.
