Apparently things are going good so far with the poker in Texas legislation. It went to committee and apparently came out with a 6 to 2 positive vote. You can read more about it on 2+2

If you are in Texas, please go to this website http://www.house.state.tx.us/members/welcome.php and either email or call your Representative. It is recommended that you contact their Austin office.

Here is a sample letter to use:

Dear Representative,

I am a Texas poker player and voter. Please support HB 3186, The Texas Poker Act by Jose Menendez. This legislation will bring great economic benefit to the state of Texas, as well as make poker safe and regulated in Texas. Please help bring Texas Hold’em back home to Texas.
