ONLINE POKER RIGGED! EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW!

Today I found out some bitter sweet news that will fuel my flame about online poker being rigged.  At my company (a highly successful technology company) we have contract workers from Costa Rica that have been flown in to train here in Austin.  Today, while one of my coworkers was training one of them, the costa rican contract employee found out that my coworker played poker.  After talking for a bit they started talking about online poker.

The contractor told us that back home, in Costa Rica, there are MANY online poker companies.  He and several of his friends have worked for those sites.  He told my coworker that onilne poker is definitely rigged.  The sites have teams of employees that do nothing but play poker all day.  They can see ALL of the cards.

After finding this out, my coworker brought the contractor to me (because everyone knows how I am 100% convinced online poker is rigged).  He and I are going to talk later this week and I will post the findings here…

Stay tuned……………………

Absolute poker have admited that cheating did take place on their high stakes tables. Search the 2+2 forums for full details or check the press releases on the Absolute Poker site. Also http://www.potripper.co.uk has full coverage of this story.

Yeah, I do not think PokerStars, Full Tilt, or any of the superpowers are cheating. They are simply making too much money straight up to even think about it.

haha, so what you’re saying is that online poker sites, which are not regulated in any way, are not cheating simply because they make “enough” money? Have you ever said “you know what boss? I think I make enough money, I do NOT want to make anymore!” - your point is ridiculous and frankly the rediculousness of your point makes me want to murder you.

OK, perhaps I was not being clear. But murder away…if you can catch me.

What I’m saying is PS and FT are so respected and so huge that they have so much to lose if they pull an Absolute Poker and get caught cheating. Of course, most business-minded people will do anything to get ahead, but I’m saying the potential risks of cheating (getting outed like Absolute did) are enough to keep PS and FT running a straight up business. In my opinion. Though yes, I would believe the smaller and lesser used sites do and have cheated if shown enough evidence.

    Hi,

For serious discussions on the riggedness of online poker, and other ugly forms of cheating, such as super users, bots and more, me and two friends just started a discussion forum:

    http://poker-is-rigged.sitebooth.com/forum/

I hope that posting this link is OK. It’s not a commercial site or anything. I think (hope) that some people may find it interesting. Have a look yourself!

At this moment, there really isn’t anything on the site, we’re just starting up. :)

I truely believe they are rigged. They are unregulated, based in the banana repuplic and answer to nobody. The powers that be have never dreamed that forces would come together in such away as to allow them to riggged a game the way the internet does.Since the begining of gambling people have been trying to run rigged games, they never dreamed that one day it could be done SO EASILY.

I found it suspicious that after depositing my first $50 on Full Tilt i was dealt pocket aces four times in the first half hour. On the fourth deal of Pocket aces I lost 43 dollars against a river flush. I was certain that the player new that fifth street would be a diamond.Having pocket aces once is 220 to 1. Of course hands online are strange compared to live poker and I don’t buy the argument that these corporations have too much to lose. Regulated gambling exists to prevent impulsive players from being scammed.

The thing is, online poker is an earner for the sites if they have enough players, but, I do believe it is rigged despite this. Too many ridiculously bad beats occur, I’ve heard all the arguments on both sides and I think from what they’ve said to me that winning players think so too, they just try to adjust their game. But if you play tournies and the software wants you out you will get a big hand you are obliged to play and be beaten. if you were in control of a flow of money would you not try to ‘optimise’ your commission? Online poker is like real poker, but it is also like online slots and other casino games, some get lucky some lose, but on the basis of various criteria it can be decided who wins and who loses

To everyone making this argument that these sites have so much to lose. Look at the big corporations here in the US who run scams. Sure, a few get busted but how many do of these so-called legit companies do you really trust? Those are big companies here in the US who have to answer to regulatory agencies. As long as corporations see a way to make more money, they’ll do it regardless of the risk. The good news for these poker sites is that they don’t even have to worry about regulatory agencies so they can do whatever they want.
